Although I am not a graphic artist, I"m interested in design, especially design pertaining to the written word; that is, fonts and type. In the Western world, several currently popular fonts date back to the advent of the print-ing press in the 15th century. Some esoteric fonts used by today"s artists emulate monks who copied medieval manuscripts by hand.
