This would be a ten-week course. There would be 2-3 articles with follow-up questions and assignments each week.Chinese students are to finish up each assignment during weekdays. Each American teacher is to hold virtual office hours for individual counseling/tutoring (via IM) over the weekdays. A joint session would be held over the weekend, where teachers and students review the week's materials and assignments. In the last week of the course, each Chinese student is to write an essay on one of the topics covered in the previous weeks, and present the essay in front of the group.

此课程为期十个星期。每周阅读2-3篇有关的文章 （历史，地理，经济等等），带有作业和复习问题。中国学生在周一到周五阅读，做作业，回答复习问题。拉瑟尔老师周一到周五在网上有定期“辅导”时间，提供1:1辅导，回答中国学生疑问。周末老师和所有他（她）的学生安排一个时间，通过视频复习这星期的学习内容，解答作业问题。最后一个星期，每个学生要做一个毕业讲座，深入谈论前几个星期的学过一个话题。
