  一、教学课型
  本节课的阅读材料是一篇日记,中心话题是my first day at senior high,内容涉及初高中学校的异同,描写了新高中英语课堂教学,抒发了对新学校的无比热爱和对新校园生活的美好憧憬。
  二、教材分析
  1、教学内容(外研版,必修1 p.1-2)
  2、教材处理及设计思路。以“my first day at senior high”为主题是描写高中生活的学校生活和课外活动,比较初高中生活与旧学校生活的异同,笔者以在校学生的真实情况为背景,让学生在教学过程中主动参与、亲身实践、独立思考和合作探究。同时考虑到学生的整体水平以,编排顺序等进行了调整、删减和补充。
  3、教学目标。掌握描述学校、教师和学生的词汇和句型;培养学生把握文章脉络和进行整体阅读的能力;提高学生的阅读能力。
  4、教学的重点和难点。培养学生的阅读策略及获取信息的方法;引导学生找出文章的主题句,学会归纳段落大意;学会描述自己对新学校和新老师和新班级的第一印象。
  三、教学设计
  1、总体思路 本节课的内容分四大部分:pre-reading activities ,while-reading activities,post-reading activities以及meaningful activity 。其中读前活动由听我校的校歌、观看有关学校生活的视频,然后让学生讨论“my school life”,提供范文并让学生大声朗读。阅读活动由阅读课文活动、寻读、略读、细读和复述环节组成,所设计的问题层层深入,训练活动环环相扣,着眼于提高学生的阅读能力。读后活动让学生学会用自己的语言描述如何尽快地由初中顺利地转入高中,并调整适合自己的学习方式来完成高中学习任务。
  2、教学过程
  Step1. Pre-reading activities for interest(7minutes)
  Activity 1. Appreciating The School Song Of Yang County No.2 Middle School.(2 minutes)Play the School Song followed by these questions:
  1)Where is Yang County Second Middle School?
  2)When was it set up?
  3)How many teachers and students are there in the school?
  Activity 2 Enjoy a few pictures on the screen and ask the students to answer some questions.(5 minutes)
  1.What can you see in the picture and what are they doing?
  2.What song do you know is playing?
  3.What do you think about the after-school activities?
  4.How can you make the best of their after-school activities?
  Step 2 While-reading activities for comprehension(22 minutes)
  Activity 1.Discussion Discuss the following questions.
  1)What are the main differences between Junior High school and Senior High school?
  2)Do you think that work at Senior High school is harder than at Junior High school?
  3)Are Senior High teachers similar to junior High teachers?
  Activity 2. Scanning(2minutes)Show the questions on the screen.
