After a month-long series of celebra-five concerts, the China PhilharmonicOrchestra (CPO) finally welcomed its10th birthday on May 25, 2010, witha grand concert at the Beijing Poly Theater.
The gala show, with the theme of "EastMeets West in Operas," showcased theCPO"s successful experiment in combin-ing China"s traditional Peking Opera withWestern symphonic form and demonstratedthe orchestra"s crossover ability and growingmastery of world classics.
