North Korea"s Phibada OperaTroupe arrived in Beijing on May3, bringing with it a Korean operaadapted from China"s classicnovel A Dream of Red Mansions writtenby Cao Xueqin (around 1715-63), a greatnovelist of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911).The troupe, invited by the Chinese Ministryof Culture, is one of the largest performinggroups having visited China in recent years.
